Engagement Shoot (Verlobungsshooting) - Winterthur

Last weekend Tara and Graeme, from Fribourg, made the long-haul to Winterthur for a Saturday Engagement shoot session. In the morning the weather wasn’t looking so great, so we were all really pleased to see the clouds break and the sun poke though. I had been wanting to have a look around up by Winterthur’s Bruderhaus. The woodsy location provided all the colorful foliage backgrounds that we could’ve wanted. It was great to meet these guys and shoot with them.

Letztes Wochenende sind Tara und Graeme (von Fribourg) für einen Samstag Engagement Shooting-Session zum mir gekommen. Am Morgen hatte das Wetter nicht so gut ausgesehen , so waren wir alle sehr froh dass die Sonne durch die Wolken gekommen war. Ein paar Tage zuvor hatte ich eine neue “Shooting-Location” in der Nähe von Winterthur Bruderhaus gefunden. Die Herbstfarben als Hintergrund passt absolut perfekt. Es war toll mit Tara und Graeme zu arbeiten.

After consulting with my friends at the Zürich Marriott Hotel on some architectural photography needs, it became apparent to me that in order to make the pictures they had in mind, I would need to be shooting from a helicopter.

My friend Daniel Protz, who competed as an Olympic rower with the U.S. National Team, is coaching the SeeClub Zuerich junior team and I really enjoy watching him instill a sense of intensity in his team. It’s somewhat fitting (if you know Dan) that he’s out there coaching with a recently sustained broken back.
