Engagement Shoot in the Heart of Zürich

I had a super fun engagement shoot in Zürich yesterday with Michelle and Christian who’s wedding is in Switzerland this coming July. We worked right in the middle of Zürich’s old town (“Altstadt”) area which is abundant with awesome backgrounds. We could not have been luckier with the weather and sunset timing. The sun was setting on the dramatic Grossmünster church towers, so we took advantage - working quickly in the fading light. It was a treat working this couple and I’m absolutely certain that we’re going to have a terrific time on the big day in July.

Spring time is just around the corner and wedding plans are coming together all over Switzerland and the whole world. As couples plan their big day they are confronted with so many decisions which can be overwhelming to say the least. Engagement Shoot (Verlobungsshooting) - Winterthur

Last weekend Tara and Graeme, from Fribourg, made the long-haul to Winterthur for a Saturday Engagement shoot session. In the morning the weather wasn’t looking so great, so we were all really pleased to see the clouds break and the sun poke though. I had been wanting to have a look around up by Winterthur’s Bruderhaus. The woodsy location provided all the colorful foliage backgrounds that we could’ve wanted. It was great to meet these guys and shoot with them.

Superzehnkampf 2011 - Photopress Assignment

Today I had a great photo assignment. I covered the Superzehnkampf 2011 in the Hallenstadion in Zürich. It was a hilarious event to cover. I think every photographer at the event had a great time shooting. Tons of fun!

Hochzeit in Greifensee und Schaffhausen

Last winter, I was particularly impressed by one local Winterthur couple who came to visit and talk about their plans for a wedding in Greifensee and reception dinner in Schaffhausen. Photography was perhaps the most important wedding service to Katja and Mario, and I was honored that they choose me as their wedding photographer.

An extremely busy August and equally full September unfortunately led me to put the blog on the back burner as I cranked through six wedding edits and six album designs. Looking back, I really wish that I had published some more favorite images from the later part of the summer. I guess there’s no harm in a recap - so I’ll share some of my summer wedding work in my next couple of posts.
