Wedding at the Winterberg Golf Klub - Kanton Zurich

EN: Time to dust off the old blog! Wedding season is underway and I’m getting back into the groove. Last Saturday I shot the terrific wedding of Manuela and Pascal under a clear blue sky at the Winterberg Golf Club and La Collina Restaurant between Zurich and Winterthur. It was a awesome day, and besides maybe a few mild sunburns - everything went perfectly. Outdoor wedding cermonies are not so common in Switzerland - but man are they nice to shoot! I’ve seen some cool surprises for the bride and groom at weddings in the past, but I must say that the fire works show La Collina’s little lake was hard to beat. The bride and groom watched from a little row boat decorated with roses as the fireworks went off across the water. An impressive gift from the groom’s brother. It was quite a show!

Was für eine Show!

Impressions - Seattle Trip

Just a few snaps from our recent trip to my home town of Seattle, WA. I kinda forgot about these photos and just stumbled upon them while looking for something else. Enjoy! It was a great trip home!

Engagement Shoot in the Heart of Zürich

I had a super fun engagement shoot in Zürich yesterday with Michelle and Christian who’s wedding is in Switzerland this coming July. We worked right in the middle of Zürich’s old town (“Altstadt”) area which is abundant with awesome backgrounds. We could not have been luckier with the weather and sunset timing. The sun was setting on the dramatic Grossmünster church towers, so we took advantage - working quickly in the fading light. It was a treat working this couple and I’m absolutely certain that we’re going to have a terrific time on the big day in July.

Decorate Your Wedding with Swiss Online Shop

Spring time is just around the corner and wedding plans are coming together all over Switzerland and the whole world. As couples plan their big day they are confronted with so many decisions which can be overwhelming to say the least. I believe that one of the most important ways that I bring value into my work as a wedding photographer is through simplifying the process for my clients. I’ve put lots of thought into my system, learned from experience, and tailored my approach along the way. What has resulted are products and services that I believe represent an extraordinary value to couples getting married.

Two friends and colleagues of mine recently applied this same ethic in simplifying the customer experience to their new wedding shop which sells and distributes high-quality wedding décor online. Their new website, Kissloud.ch, specializes in providing a wide assortment of very tasteful and creative decorations and wedding accessories through their online store: http://kissloud.ch. If you’re still hunting around for odds and ends, such as table and venue decorations, sky lanterns, I DO stickers, bubbles, ribbons, ring pillows, thank you cards, and more, and you haven’t quite found what you’re looking for - pay them a visit. They’re a fantastic couple and they’ll take good care of you.

Engagement Shoot (Verlobungsshooting) - Winterthur

Last weekend Tara and Graeme, from Fribourg, made the long-haul to Winterthur for a Saturday Engagement shoot session. In the morning the weather wasn’t looking so great, so we were all really pleased to see the clouds break and the sun poke though. I had been wanting to have a look around up by Winterthur’s Bruderhaus. The woodsy location provided all the colorful foliage backgrounds that we could’ve wanted. It was great to meet these guys and shoot with them.
